Mystique

This lilly  was inspired by an arrangement in a vase. I was drawn to the gorgeous colours reflected on this white beauty. The lighting is from behind the lillies which gives them a lovely transparency. The petals are delicate & reflect a softness yet strength with the gorgeous stamens protruding from the centres creating more movement. Light & dark in a painting gives it depth & a certain dramatic feel. Love it.
